Tentang Saya (About Me)

Dr. nat. techn. Syafruddin, SP.,MP was born in South Aceh on January 6th, 1968. Completed a bachelor’s program in 1994 at Agronomy Department of Faculty of Agriculture, Syiah Kuala University. Continuing his master’s education in 1998 and his master degree in Agriculture was achieved in 2000 at Gadjah Madha University, Yogyakarta in the field of Soil Science or Land Use. In 2007 he continued his Doctoral’s program at the University of Natural Resource and Applied Life Science (BOKU University) Vienna, Austria. and completed his study in 2010 at the Intitute of Soil Science.


Currently, he active as a lecture and teaching at Agrotechnology Department (Bachelor degree), Master degree program of Agroecotechnology and Agricultural Science and Doctoral Program at Syiah Kuala University. Some subject that he covered include : Organic Farming and Alternative Agriculture, Land Resource Management, Agricultural Biotechnology, Sustainable Agriculture, Fundamental of Agronomy, Land Bioremediation and Research Methods.


The focus of his research is related to the technology of increasing the productivity of land and plants, especially with use of bacteria, mycorrhiza and plants (bioremediation and phytoremediation). Besides, it is also actively conducting community service especially regarding land that able to use and organic farming.
