Nurul Aflah ST., M.Sc., obtained her Bachelor of Engineering (ST) from Department of Chemical Engineering, Engineering Faculty of Syiah Kuala University in 2006. In 2008, she pursued her Master Degree in Technology Univesity of Petronas and acquired Master of Science (M.Sc) in Petroleum Engineering by 2010. She has been a lecturer at Department of Mining Engineering since 2012. She currently serves as a coordinator of the mineral, oil and gas exploration laboratory of Mining Engineering Department of Syiah Kuala University. Besides, she is also a chief of the mineral, oil and gas exploration research center of Syiah Kuala University.
Her research interests include oil and gas engineering; Reservoir Engineering, Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) using Water and Gas injection (WAG). In addition, she also interests in other earth technology related researchs.
Her current research in last two years are in the field of Shallow Reservoir of Perlak, East Aceh, Analysis of Shallow subsurface at hydrocarbon potential areas in North Aceh, Geochemical Survey of Gold Content Determination using X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) Method in Gunung Ujeun, KruengSabee district of Aceh Jaya; Investigation of Mercury Waste using Resistivity Method in KruengSabee, Aceh Jaya, and Analysis of Shallow Subsurface Structure at Geothermal Area of IeJue Using Resistivity Method.
Beside research, she also involves in several community service events as her social works to contribute to the society and her surroundings, the events are as follows: Introduction of Coal as an energy resource to strengthen science education of high school students in SMA LaboratoriumUnsyiah,Community service regarding the Geoelectric water investigation in Bunta Island, Aceh.
