Professional Summary
Alia Rizki was born in Jakarta on 3 February 1982. She is a lecturer at the Biology Department, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Syiah Kuala University. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Syiah Kuala University in 2004. She finished her Master’s degree in Zoological Science in 2007, which was continued by a Ph.D. degree in Biology, both from the National University of Malaysia. She completed her Ph.D. in 2017 with a project entitled A Revision of Genus Paleosepharia Laboissiere, 1936 (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae: Galerucinae) from Malaysia. Her project was conducted under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Idris Abd. Ghani and Dr. Izfa Riza Hazmi. Her research interests are taxonomy and phylogeny of insects, especially on leaf beetles (Chrysomelidae) and parasitoid wasps (Ichneumonidae).
