Ardiansyah obtained the Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (S1) degree in 1996 from Purdue University, the United States. He later pursued Master (S2) study in the field of Geographical Information Science (GIS) in Universiti Sains Malaysia, Malaysia, where he awarded the Master of Science in GIS degree in 2007. His master thesis was entitled “The Development of an Open-source web-based GIS for Route Planning of Sightseeing Tour”, in which he combined web technology with GIS analysis. He continues to specialize in research on the web technology and GIS. He also teaches programming language as well as other courses related to GIS, Mapping and Remote Sensing.
