My name is Asrillah and was born in Sigli, Pidie. I completed my undergraduate degree in Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Syiah Kuala (USK) in 2001. Approximately 10 years later, I completed my post-graduate (master degree) in geophysical engineering at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). Then by successfully obtaining the scholarship (BPP-LN, Kemenristek-dikti) in 2020, I continued my doctoral programme at the Institute for Geosciences in applied geophysics, Technische Universität Berlin (TUB), Germany and graduated in 2024. As a teaching staff and researcher at USK, I have taught courses such as seismic reflection, seismic stratigraphy, petrophysics, well-log data analysis and others related to reservoir characterisation both for hydrocarbon and geothermal. My research interests focuse on anisotropic reservoirs in order to support an efficient exploration and mitigate drilling failure. From this knowledge, I have published several articles related to hydrocarbon and geothermal exploration. I hope that the current and next contributions can benefit to academia and related stakeholders.
