Budi Arianto, S.Pd., M.A., is a lecturer of Study Program of Indonesian literatures and languages (PBSI), Faculty Teacher Training and Education of Department (FKIP), Syiah Kuala University.
His subjects though are dramas, poetries, and prose fiction, and he has been teaching those subject since 1996. In spite teaching at the FKIP, he is teaching script writing and schooling drama at the Program of Sendratasik at the Syiah Kuala University and the ISBI.
Completed his bachelor degree at the Syiah Kuala University in 1992, he was pursuing his master degree at school of performing art studies at Gadjah Mada University Yogyakarta in 2010.
His has actively written literature books as an author and produced several fictions. Those efforts, by LK Ara, a prominent script writing in Aceh, have branded his name as “the Javanese-born, writers of Aceh’s literature grown up in Tanah Rencong”.
Born in Garung, January 23, 1972, Budi Arianto had actively involved art performing student association at the Sanggar Cempala Karya dan Teater Gemasastrin and was founder of UKM (unit Student Community) called Theater Nol of Syiah Kuala University.
Beside his joined art preforming during his studies, he was also a journalist and had leading editor in chief of DeTAK, a student monthly- publishing Journal, and Editor of Redactor Budaya Tabloid Warta, a tabloid published by Publishing Biro of Rectorate Syiah Kuala University.
As a writer of poetry, his achievements have been wining several completions of art field among others: the first winners of Aceh’s poetry writer contest 1993, and: the first winners of Charil Anwar’s Poetry Contest for Commemorating” Bulan Sastra in 1995.
In writing creation, Budi Arainto works have been published by various mass medias both locally and nationally. The resume his poems was published in L.K. Ara et.al (ed.) thematic subject “Seulawah: Antologi Sastra Aceh Sekilas Pintas (1995), and Antologi Bersama Aceh Dalam Puisi (2004). then inside The resume his poems was published in D. Kemalawati, Fikar W.Eda, dan Mustafa Ismail, (ed.) thematic subject "Antologi Pasie Karam" (2016).
