I was born in Samalanga District, Bireuen Regency, on July 5, 1970. I completed my undergraduate studies at Syiah Kuala University—specifically in the Department of Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA)—as part of the 1989 cohort, which was the faculty's inaugural class. Subsequently, in 1999, I pursued a Master’s degree at the University of Indonesia, specializing in Optoelectronics and Laser Applications. My thesis was supervised by Dr. Ary Syahriar, DIC (affiliated with BPPT, KIN, and Al-Azhar University Indonesia), with a specific focus on optical waveguides. Later, in 2014, I began my doctoral studies at the Syiah Kuala University Postgraduate School (DMAS), focusing on instrumentation. Currently, I am entrusted with managing the Waves, Optics, and Spectroscopy Laboratory under the Department of Physics. Activities in this laboratory include research utilizing laser spectroscopy for testing and measurement, as well as testing and measurement using NIRS instrumentation. The laboratory also facilitates practical sessions for the Waves and Optics courses. It is expected that this laboratory will support the development of research in the fields of spectroscopy, NIRS, and optical waves, as well as other areas related to physics.
