Dr. Cut Dahlia Iskandar, DVM, M.Sc., Ph.D. is a veterinary scientist, lecturer, and researcher specializing in histology, neurohistology, and veterinary neuropathology. She currently serves as the Head of the Histology and Embryology Laboratory at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Universitas Syiah Kuala, Indonesia.
She obtained her Ph.D. in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover, Germany, following her M.Sc. degree from Georg-August University Göttingen, Germany. Her research integrates veterinary pathology with Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (NIRS) to develop innovative approaches for disease diagnosis, food quality assessment, and agricultural applications.
Her research interests include histopathology, neuroimmunology, food safety, experimental animal models, immunopathology, and chemometric data analysis. She has led and participated in numerous research projects focusing on bacterial contamination detection in milk, antimicrobial resistance, meat quality, wound healing, inflammatory diseases, and aquatic animal pathology.
Dr. Iskandar has developed several intellectual property products related to NIRS-based analytical systems and predictive modeling. She is also the author of scientific books and educational materials and has received professional certifications in veterinary practice, animal ethics, biosafety, NIRS applications, and higher education teaching.
With a Scopus H-index of 6, Dr. Iskandar is committed to advancing veterinary biomedical research through interdisciplinary collaboration, innovative analytical technologies, and the translation of scientific discoveries into practical applications for animal health, food safety, and sustainable livestock production.
