Edy Miswar was born in Lhokseumawe, 16 August 1979. Completed the undergraduate education at Department of physics, Faculty of mathematics and natural sciences (2003). The year 2015 completed studies (S2) on the Master's Program in the Department of the technology of Capture Fisheries, Faculty of fisheries and marine science, Bogor-Bogor Agriculture Institute, with a concentration on technology tools are catching fish. In the year 2006 until now, he was appointed as teaching staff (Lecture) on Marine and fisheries Faculty Syiah Kuala University. Since the year 2016-now I entrust the Secretary in the Department of Fishery Resources Utilization, Faculty of Fisheries resources, marine and Fisheries Director. In support of sustainable fisheries management activities, I am also involved in the scientific management of panel members of the ecosystem-based fishery with cooperation of the Ministry of marine and fisheries of indonesia. The development of ecosystem approach to fisheries management became the primary focus of fisheries in realizing an environmental friendly and sustainable. 

For the realization of the activities I do socialization to fishing communities and local governments, either in the activity of charity program or through the results of the study that I did independently as well as with the team involved in the LC- EAFM (Learning Center-EAFM) on Marine and Fisheries Faculty, Syiah Kuala University.
