I am currently a faculty member at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Syiah Kuala University Banda Aceh, Indonesia. I have been working at Syiah Kuala University from 2006 to the present. My main teaching and research interests are in the fields of Labor Economics, Human Capital, Economic Development, and Islamic Banking and Finance. I graduated with my bachelor's degree from Ar-Raniry State Islamic University (UIN Ar-Raniry) Banda Aceh in the field of Islamic Banking and Finance in 1999. I received my Master of Islamic Banking and Finance from University of Malaya and Master of Economics from International Islamic University Malaysia in 2004. In 2015, I completed my Ph.D in Economics from Durham University, United Kingdom (UK), under the supervision of Dr. Martin Robson and Professor John Ashworth. I am also an Associate Fellow of Higher Education Academy (HEA), UK. HEA Fellowship is an international recognition of a commitment to professionalism in teaching and learning in higher education and aligned with the UK Professional Standards Framework (UKPSF). Before joining Syiah Kuala University in 2006, I was a Program Development Specialist/Grant Manager at Development Alternative Inc. (DAI) and United Nations for Project Services (UNOPS).
