Elmy Mariana was born in Tulungagung on 9th September 1979. Graduated from the Department of Animal Science of  Gadjah Mada University (2003). The years 2008 to 2010 was continued study at the Master Program in the Department of Animal Production and Technology, Faculty of Animal Husbandry Bogor Agricultural University, with concern on Genetic and Animal Breeding. Then in 2013 until now re-continue doctoral studies at Bogor Agricultural University on the same study and concentration. Currently conducting research to fulfill the final task and writing a dissertation titled "Identification of HSP 70 gene family as determinants of resistance to heat stress in dairy cows that are kept in different environments". In 2006 until now, he was accepted as a lecturer at the Livestock Production Program at the Faculty of Agriculture, Syiah Kuala University.
