Fathurrahman received the B.E. degree in Power System Engineering from Department of Electrical Engineering, Syiah Kuala University, Banda Aceh, Indonesia in 2010. In 2014 Fathurrahman finished his master degree in Energy System from School of Electrical Engineering and Telecommunication, University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney, Australia. Previously he worked for Banda Aceh Municipal Water Works from 2010 to 2017 as maintenance and production junior manager. He was also appointed as one of national energy efficiency instructor in water sector by Ministry of Public Work. He joined Syiah Kuala University in March 2019 and was previously a Lecturer at the Ar-Raniry State Islamic University of Aceh and Malahayati Maritime Polytechnic from 2016 to 2019. His current role at the moment are contributing and building up portfolio of the Electrical Engineering Department In particular to take a major role in the teaching, researching and developing the community in area of Energy Systems Engineering and Renewable Energy concentrating on Solar, Hydro, Wind and Waste Energy System, Energy Efficiency, and Electrical Safety.
