I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Marine Science, Faculty of Marine and Fisheries, Universitas Syiah Kuala, Banda Aceh, Indonesia. I have a broad interest in Earth System Science, particularly related to the Subduction Zone and or subduction processes viewed from a seismological approach or observation using seismic wave records.
I obtained my bachelor's degree in June 2009 with a concentration in physical oceanography (ocean current observation), at the Marine Science Dept. College of Marine and Fisheries, Syiah Kuala University, Indonesia. For my master's degree, I received in June 2012 at National Taiwan Ocean University (NTOU), Taiwan, in the Institute of Applied Geosciences, College of Ocean Science and Resource in marine geophysics (seismic gap study at the western coast of Sumatra). I obtained my Ph.D. degree in December 2019 under the supervision by Distinguished Research Fellow Dr. Bor Shouh Huang at the Institute of Earth Science, Academia Sinica, Taipei within the Taiwan International Graduate Program (TIGP) - Earth System Science, Academia Sinica, and National Central University, Taiwan.
My dissertation title is: Study on Seismic Activity at The Sumatra Subduction Zone: Large Earthquake Sequences, Seismic Hazard, and Subduction Slab properties.
