Mohd. Harun was born in Laweueng, Pidie, Aceh, March 5, 1966. Often uses the pen name C. Harun al Rashid, but better known as Harun al Rashid. Education (1) SDN Laweueng, 1979; (2) MTs Padang Tiji, 1982; (3) SMAN Sigli, 1985; (4) Indonesian Language and Literature Education, FKIP, Unsyiah 1992; (5) Magister of IKIP Language Education Malang, March 1998; (6) Doctor of Indonesian Language and Literature Education, Ethnic Literature Specialization at State University of Malang, May 2006 with dissertation of Structure, Function, and Hadih Maja Value: Oral Poetry Study of Aceh.

Beginning in April 1990 he worked as a journalist for Harian Serambi Indonesia Banda Aceh and quit 1994. Beginning in March 1993, he was recorded as a lecturer at FKIP Unsyiah, especially nursing Poetry Lecture, Prose of Fiction, Aceh Literature, Journalism, Creative Writing, Indigenous and Cultural Aceh, and Intercultural Communication. September 2006-December 2007 he served as Secretary of the Master Program of Language Education (MPB), PPs, Unsyiah; February 2008-January 2012 as head of Master Program of Indonesian Language and Literature Education PPs Unsyiah, and since April 2008-present as chairman of Center for Language Studies of Aceh Region (Pusbada) Unsyiah. 

Aaron is fond of writing scientific articles, poetry, literary criticism, feature, book reviews, and short stories. His poems are published in several media and recorded among others in the anthology of Kemah Seniman Aceh 3 (1990), Banda Aceh (1991), Breath of Land Rencong (1992), Lambaian (1993), Seulawah (1995), Keranda-Keranda (1999), In Frozen Time (2003), Putroe Phang (2003), Sankalakiri (2003), Maja V Cup (2004), Aceh, 8.9 Richter Scale, Then Tsunami (2005), Wave Pilgrimage (2005), Song Out (2005) Syair Tsunami (2006), and Krueng Aceh Collection of Short Stories and Poems (2009). His collection of poems Indigenous Sound (BP Swadaya Mandiri, Jambi, 1996) and Hymns (March 2006). The short stories are among others published in Remuk (2000) and Collection of Cerpen Komunitas Literature Indonesia (2008). Year 2009 published scientific book Understanding the Acehnese people followed Introduction to Aceh Literature (2012), and Collection of Poetry Reading Voice-Sound (2012).































In 2003 he initiated and established the Center for Culture of Aceh (Pusaka) with Dr. Abdul Djunaidi, M.S., and Nurdin F. Joes. Joined the Banda Aceh Arts Council (DKB) as Deputy Secretary until 1999. Year 2000 as Chairman of the Aceh Arts Council. In 2004 established Lapena (Insitute for Culture and Society) with several Acehnese artists. August 2007 received the Literature and Satya Lencana Sarakata Award from the Aceh Government. Became the Chairman of the Editing Board of the Literary Journal of Literature.































































December 1999 stretched paper at North Dialog VIII in Southern Thailand; 15 September 2005 speakers at the Malaysian Institute of Nature and Tamadun Melayu University Kebangsaan Malaysia; 19 September 2005 visited the Perak State Empire of Malaysia as a literary speaker in Ipoh Library. November 2010 attended the World Islamic Malay World Convention (DMDI) in Batam. November 2014 becomes the speakers in the Malay Literature Nusantara Meeting in Padang City, West SUmatra.
