Herizal was born in Banda Aceh on June 13, 1990. He currently works as a lecturer and researcher in the Department of Governmental Studies, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Syiah Kuala University. Which focuses on teaching and research in the fields of public policy and good governance. Before becoming a lecturer, he had been an actor in rural development and empowerment for several years. This experience made him interested in learning how public policies are formulated and implemented, as well as finding solutions to address the country's challenges and the development of village government by continuing his studies in the Department of Government Affairs and Administration, University of Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. Previously, he completed his undergraduate education in the political science program at Syiah Kuala University Banda Aceh.
