Ichwana is a lecturer at the Agriculture Engineering Department. She earned her Bachelors degree from Civil Engineering at Syiah Kuala University in 1996 and later her Masters degree in Agriculture-Conservation of Land Resources at Syiah Kuala University in 2004. She ever became was as chair of Planning, Arrangement programs and budgeting systems at the faculty of agriculture (2007-2009). In 2010 continued doctoral studies, and She obtained a PhD in Natural and Environment Resources Management at the University of North Sumatra in 2013. In 2015 she became a member of the Internal Control Unit (SPI), Head of the Agricultural Engineering Department (2016-2020) Universitas Syiah Kuala. Rightnow, her position as head of postgraduate quality assurance and secretary of  research center for environmental and natural resources Universitas Syiah Kuala. Her areas of expertise is the management of water resources. Her research interests are environmental science, natural resource management, climate change, watershed management.
