I am a Professor at the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, Faculty of Engineering. I received my full professorship in August, 2023. My specialty is in Product Design. I completed my Bachelor’s degree from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Universitas Syiah Kuala in 1997. I further obtained my Master’s degree from the Department of Design and Manufacture at Universiti of Malaya, Malaysia, focusing on Ergonomics in 2007. I continued for my Doctoral degree in the same department and university with a concentration on Product Design and completed it in 2013. I received my professional engineer title from Universitas Syiah Kuala in 2020. I am currently the Vice Dean of Academic Affairs at the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Syiah Kuala, since 2018. I am also the Vice Chairman of the Kabbadi Sport at KONI (Komite Olahraga Nasional Indonesia) of  Aceh Province, since 2022. 

There are several solar car race events that I have participated in, among them are the World Solar Challenge Australia in the years 2007 and 2009, the Shell Eco-Marathon for the type of Prototype Gasoline in 2010, and Prototype Electric Car 2019, Sepang, Malaysia, and Prototype Electric Car in 2018 in Singapore. I was also in the National Energy Efficient Car Contest (KMHE) National level with the type of electric prototype in 2015, Brawijaya, Malang, and KMHE in 2016 with the type of prototype and urban electric in Yogjakarta. The latest competition I took part in was the Shell Eco-Marathon for the type of Prototype Gasoline and Electric cars in 2023.
