She is a lecturer in the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Syiah Kuala University. She graduated a Bachelor of Chemistry at Syiah Kuala University, in 1994. Graduated from masters and doctorate degrees at the University of North Sumatra in 2003 and 2013 respectively. She teach on the Polymer Chemistry, Materials Chemistry, Surface and Colloid Chemistry. Research interests mainly focus on polymers, materials and applications. Development of polymers and materials developed using nanotechnology. This technology can be applied to make nanocomposite materials. Nanocomposites can use various fillers mainly derived from natural polymers. Nanocomposite polymers show remarkable improvements in mechanical, electrical, optical, electrochemical, catalyst, structural, thermal and physicochemical properties. In addition, nanocomposite research can also be developed to be used as an adsorbent for various wastes and the results show that most nanocomposites provide better results.
