I am Drs. Mawardi, M. Hum., MA., a lecturer at Department of History the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Syiah Kuala University since 1993. I was graduated of Bachalor Program (S1) at Department of History Education the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Syiah Kuala University 1992 with theses "Syiah Kuala University: A Study of Background, Development, and Impact to Surounding Community,1961-1973". In 2002, I applied for further study to Master Program (S2) on History at Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta, and graduated in 2005, with theses "Collecting Sap for Onderneming: Social-economic Dynamics of Rubber Plantation Enterprise Workers in East Aceh,1907-1939. In efford to mastering History as well as Dutch, I continued my study to Master Program (S2) on History at Leiden University, the Netherland in 2006 and graduated in 2008 with theses "Free Port, Coaling Station, and Economic Development: Sabang, 1898-1942.

In 2009, I was appointed as the Head of Department of History Education Syiah Kuala University by members of the Department. Than, since August 2016 I was pointed by the Rector as Director of Aceh Documentation and Information Center (PDIA), as an additional assignment.
