Dr. dr. Mulkan Azhary, M.Sc., Sp.P., FAPSR is a teaching staff working at Department of Anatomy and Histology, Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Syiah Kuala (USK) in Banda Aceh - Indonesia. He did the undergraduate and professional medical training at Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Syiah Kuala (USK) in 2008. Then, in 2011 he was graduated from the post-graduate study (M.Sc.) in Clinical Anatomy at School of Medical Sciences – Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) in Kota Bharu - Malaysia. In 2015, he graduated the Ph.D. study in Medical Sciences at Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Airlangga (Unair) in Surabaya - Indonesia. He also had the clinical qualification of Pulmonologist that was graduated from Fakultas Kedokteran - Universitas Indonesia (FKUI) in 2020. He is interested mostly in human gross anatomy and pulmonary and respiratory clinical matters. He has conducted researches in human physical anthropology and biological markers for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Beside that, he did the study of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) among stable asthmatic patients. He was awarded in honor as the Fellow of the Asian Pacific Society of Respirology (FAPSR) after attending and presenting the brief research article at the Congress of Asian Pacific Society of Respirology (APSR) held in Sydney - Australia on November 23-26, 2017. To date, he has been undergoing the academic duties as lecturer, clinical supervisor for both medical students and clinical trainees. Moreover, he is also appointed as the Vice Director for medical, nursing and support services at Rumah Sakit Pendidikan Universitas Syiah Kuala and the Chief Editor of Jurnal Kedokteran Syiah Kuala (JKS).
