My name is Dr. Muhammad Nasir, M.Si, M.A, Asisstant Professor in Economics at Department of Economics, Faculty of Economics and Business of Syiah Kuala University. I graduated my Bachelor degree in Economics (S.E) at Faculty of Economics, Syiah Kuala University, Indonesia in 1998. I graduated my Master degree in Economics (M.Si) also from Syiah Kuala University in 2000. Then, I graduated my Master degree in Economics (MA) at Andrew Young School of Policy Studies, Gerogia State University, USA in 2003. Finally, I finished my Doctoral Degree (DR) in Development Economics at University of Bonn, Germany in 2008. I have been working as the Lecturer of Faculty of Economics and Business, Syiah Kuala University since 2003 until now. As the lecturer I have involved in educations and researches especially in the area of development economics and public policies. The courses that I teach are microeconomics, macroeconomics, statistics, public finance, development economics, agricultural economics, mathematical economics and optimization, agricultural price analysis, etc. In terms of teaching, I teach at Bachelor, Master and Doctoral Degree Students. Beside academic activity at my home university, I also have been invited to be examiner for Doctoral Thesis Defence at University of North Sumatera (USU), Medan for teh Department of Regional Planning. In terms of researches, I have been involved in the research about Fisheries export in Aceh, Aceh Public Expenditure Analysis, Analysis of Indonesian Export, and other researches. In term of involvement in assisting government and stackeholder, I had involved in assisting Aceh Governor during year 2008 to 2009. In academic career, as well as teaching, I had been Secretary of Master and Doctoral Program in Economics of Syiah Kuala University, in Indonesia for the duty period 2014-2017. Currently, I have been Head of Department of Economics, Faculty of Economics and Business, Syiah Kuala University for the period of 2017-2021.
