Professional Summary
I am an economist. I have since 1987 been a lecturer and researcher at the Faculty of Economics, Syiah Kuala University, Banda Aceh – Indonesiaand of The International Center for Acehnese and Indian Ocean Studies (ICAIOS), I did my undergraduate study at Syiah Kuala University in Banda Aceh (1986), then continued to a Masters degree at the School of Economics, University of the Philippines (1989). I earned my Ph.D in economics from Colorado State University at Fort Collions, United States(1996). I am also at present Vice Rector for External Relations, Syiah Kuala University, a member of Aceh Education CouncilandChairman of the Trustee Board of the Aceh Institute.
