Dosen tetap pada Jurusan Teknik Elektro dan Komputer, Fakultas Teknik, Universitas Syiah Kuala; tepatnya Program Studi Teknik Komputer. Sejak 2013 saya juga dipercayakan sebagai Ketua Laboratorium Pengolahan Data di Jurusan Teknik Elektro dan Komputer.
Sekarang juga menjabat sebagai ketua, dan salah satu pendiri, dari Pusat Studi Telematika (TRC) dan Pusat Pembelajaran Multimedia (MLC) di Unsyiah.
Minat penelitian saya seputar: ICT4D (Information and Communication Technologies for Development) terutama teknologi untuk mendukung usaha kecil dan mikro, M4D (Mobile for Development) terutama aplikasi berbasis Android, IoT (Internet of Things) terutama dalam bidang pertanian/peternakan/perikanan, Health Informatics khususnya seputar rekam medik; dan eGovernment terutama yang dapat meperkuat pemerintahan di tingkat desa.
Lecturer in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Faculty of Engineerign, Syiah Kuala Univesity; specifically in the area of Computer Engineering. From 2013, I have been appointed as the head of the Data Processing Laboratory in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
Currently, I am also the chair (and one of the founding member) of Unsyiah's Telematics Research Center (TRC) and Multimedia Learning Center (MLC).
My research interest resolves around: ICT4D (Information and Communication Technologies for Development) specifically technologies to support small and microenterprises, M4D (Mobile for Development) specifically Android-based applciations, IoT (Internet of Things) specifically applied to agriculture/livestocks/fishery, Health Informatics specifically in the area of electronic medical records, and eGovernment specifically to support government in the village level.
