Professional Summary
Dr. Ramdhan Halid Siregar was born in Gunungtua, September 20, 1969 — a subdistrict capital in South Tapanuli at that time, which has now become part of the district of Padang Lawas Utara (Paluta). He completed his elementary and junior high school education in Gunungtua, and obtained his high school certificate from SMA Negeri 5 Medan. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering, University of Sumatera Utara, in 1998. In 1999, he was appointed as a lecturer at the Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Syiah Kuala University. He obtained his Master of Engineering degree from Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta, in 2004, majoring in Electric Power Systems. In 2023, he completed his Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) at the Graduate School of Syiah Kuala University. Dr. Siregar is married (since 1997) and has two daughters and one son.
