Dr.rer.nat. Rinaldi Idroes is an Analytical Chemistry/Pharmacy Professor at Syiah Kuala University in Banda Aceh. He has been a Professor of Analytical Chemistry/ Analytical Pharmacy at Syiah Kuala University's Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences since 2012. He received his Doctorate/Ph.D. in Analytical Pharmacy from the Department of Pharmacy and Food Chemistry at Bayerische Julius-Maximilians-Universitaet Wuerzburg, Germany.
His Research interests encompass diverse areas of analytical chemistry and interdisciplinary fields. These include developing chromatography systems, applying chemometrics and spectroscopy, studying geochemistry of geothermal areas, validating analytical methods, investigating medicinal plants from geothermal regions, exploring nanotechnology applications, innovating in dermatology, and utilizing artificial intelligence in research. Work involves advancing the Kovats Retention Index system, using Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy, analyzing arsenic in geothermal groundwater, isolating bioactive compounds from plants, synthesizing silver nanoparticles, developing a palm oil-derived moisturizer for atopic dermatitis, and applying machine learning to quantitative structure-activity relationships. This research contributes significantly to analytical chemistry, environmental science, medicinal research, and healthcare technology.
