Sheilatina was born in Lhokseumawe, North Aceh on 05 August 1978. She has completed her bachelor (S1) degree at Chemistry Department, Faculty of Mathematics and Sciences, Syiah Kuala University in 2002. In 2003, she became a lecturer in the field of inorganic chemistry at the same place. Her Master (S2) degree was obtained in 2013 at the School of Chemical Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) Penang, in accordance with the field of her interest, photocatalyst and its application in the field of environment, especially waste water treatment. She has published two papers along with her supervisor and laboratory colleague which is related to her research field of study during her master study, namely:
