I am Sofyana, I was born in Lubuk Aceh Besar on June 26, 1971. I finished my undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering Department Unsyiah in 1997. In March 1998, I was appointed a lecturer at Chemical Engineering Department of Engineering Faculty of Syiah Kuala University. . In August 2000 I went to S2 Program in Chemical Engineering Department of Bandung Institute of Technology. The S2 degree I obtained in March 2003, with thesis topic is "Ion depletion and organic compounds from water using nanofiltration membrane" Until now my focus research in the field of process technology, mainly developed research in the field of membrane technology. Some topics of my researches are related to the development of the membrane-making process of polymeric materials used for the decrease of salinity in water, laundry waste treatment, and research with other topics with the team. Until now I am a permanent lecturer at Chemical Engineering Department of Unsyiah
