Dr. Sofyan A. Gani, M.A. is an English lecturer in English Education Department, Teacher Training and Education Faculty, Syiah Kuala Univerity in Banda Aceh, Indonesia. Hewas born inBeureunuen, Pidie, Aceh. Sofyan obtained his undergraduate degree(S1) from SyiahKuala University in 1985, his master degree fromUniversity of Wales, UK, in 2003, while hisdoctoral degree (S3) fromState University of Jakarta(UNJ),Indonesia in 2005. From year 1997to 2000 Sofyan had been assigrned as the head of UPT Syiah Kuala Library.In year 2008 -2016 Sofyan was appointed as the head of English Education Departmen of Graduate Program Program (S2), Syiah Kuala University.
