Tentang Saya (About Me)

Dr.Eng. Sugiarto holds B.Eng in Civil Engineering from Syiah Kuala University, M.Eng in Transportation and Traffic Engineering from Asian Institute of Technology (Thailand) and Dr.Eng in Transportation Planning from Nagoya University (Japan) by joining Nagoya University Transport and Environment Dynamics (NUTREND) laboratory. He was appointed as Professor in transport modeling, planning and policies at Department of Civil Engineering, Syiah Kuala University in March 2022. He has special interest and experience in transport planning and policies, specifically his research focuses on travel behaviour analysis, choice modelling (mode, time and destination choices), travel demand modelling and forecasting, investigation of transport policies (i.e. congestion charging, transport and land use planning), exploring interrelations between transport and environment, sustainable transport planning, transport psychology, and traffic safety analysis and management.
