I have been working in Physics Department, Science Faculty, Syiah Kuala University since December 1994. Science Faculty is a vibrant academic institution with a determined focus on developing science in Aceh based on the available natural resources of the area. During my career, I have taught at several faculties and departments in Syiah Kuala University.
My focus is on semiconductor and advance materials in wide application such as optical crystals, solar cell, nanomaterials, thin film, and superconduction.
The subjects that I taught include Basic Physics, Mathematical Physics, Quantum Physics, Solid State Physics, Mineral Physics, Astronomy, Photonics and Superconductor. My special interests are Condensed Matter Physics and Astrophysics. Since 2008, I have involved in assisting Astrophysics Science Olympiad. It has been a great experience shaping the yout to be the winner in national competition.
Currenly I am a member of Hisab and Rukyah Board (Badan Hisab dan Rukyah), Aceh Province. We work on estimating and validating the sighting of new moon for Islamic Calendar, and on correcting qibla direction of mosques.
