Dr. Suwarno, M.Si. is a Senior Lecturer in Biology Department, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Science. He is an Associate Professor in Entomology. His researches interest are Biodiversity, Ecology and Conservation of Insects, particularly in butterflies, bees, betle and  dragonflies. He also done the biological control of some insect as the pests and potential polinator for the economic plants such as, the bees. Some papers has been published in qualified journals. He also active to develop economic community for beekeeper. He obtained his B.Sc in Biology from Andalas University, Padang West Sumatera, Indonesia in 1992 and his master degree at the Institute of Technology Bandung. He got Ph.D from Universiti Sains Malaysia, Penang, in 2009.
