Professional Summary

Dr. Syamsul Rizal is a Professor in Physical Oceanography. His research interest is in the field of applied mathematics in ocean modeling both analytical and numerical model. He graduated from Institute of Technology Bandung (ITB), Indonesia, in the field of Geophysics and Meteorology. He has been working at Syiah Kuala University from 1987 to present. In 1993, He completed his Ph.D Degree from Institute of Oceanography, University of Hamburg, Germany. Email address: syamsul.rizal@unsyiah.net.



He is now working in the Laboratory of Ocean Modelling, Dept. of Marine Sciences, Syiah Kuala University.



He teaches in the following courses: 1. Physical Oceanography, 2. Hydrodynamics and 3. Ocean Modeling
