Professional Summary
Teuku Tahlil completed his BSN at Padjadjaran University; MS at the University of Arkansas, USA, and; PhD at Flinders University, Australia, where he received a prestigious student award - the Vice-Chancellor's Prize for Doctoral Thesis Excellence. Tahlil is a lecturer of community health nursing at the Nursing Faculty of Syiah Kuala University, Banda Aceh. His areas of academic endeavor include community health nursing, community development, disaster nursing, epidemiology, and nursing research. He researches in a number of topics regarding community health issues. These include school health promotion, disaster nursing, HIV/AIDS and adolescence health risk behaviors. Specifically, he focuses his research objectives on how to reduce the high proportion of smoking, substance use and other health risk behaviors amongst young Indonesia.
