Banda Aceh-born Meteorologist. He is a former assistant and later lecturer at Dept. of Marine Sciences, College of Marine and Fisheries, Syiah Kuala University Banda Aceh Indonesia since late 2004 (one day after the 9.1-9.3 Earthquake and Tsunami strike :-D, Alhamdulillah for the life). His research interest in the field of (Marine) Meteorology. In addition, he has experiences as research assistant under various projects of oceanography research particularly dealing with Ocean Modelling (e.g., WAMIT University of Oslo and HAMburg Self Ocean Model/HAMSOM). He hold a bachelor degree in Physics from Syiah Kuala University focusing on Physical Oceanography for his undergraduate project. He obtained his master degree in Applied Climatology from Dept. of Geophysics and Meteorology, Bogor Agricultural University Indonesia with research theme on Tropical Cyclone using WRF Model. He work also on climate modelling (RegCM4) and distributed hydrological model (CHYM). He is actively involved at conferences as presenter and published papers as author and co-author at national and international journals. He also serves on the editorial board as assistant of Depik national journal (i.e., journal for Aquatic, Fisheries, Aquaculture, Limnology, Oceanography, Hydrology, Coastal, and Climatology Research) and a member of Indonesian Agricultural Meteorologist Society (PERHIMPI). In 2014, he was promoted and raised to the rank of Asistant Professor and at present time a Ph.D student at Dept. of Geophysics and Meteorology, Bogor Agricultural University with research focus on Marine Meteorology entitled "Lightning Prediction and Its Implication on Ocean Primary Production over the Maritime Continent".
